Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid services, engagements, events, and other offerings purchased directly from Sean Kozak Media (“SKM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Because the majority of our services involve the reservation of Sean Kozak’s time, preparation, scheduling, availability, intellectual property, travel, or other professional resources, all sales and payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise mutually agreed upon in writing.
1. All Sales Are Final
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, proposal, contract, invoice, or other written communication authorized by Sean Kozak Media: ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ALL FEES AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. This applies to deposits, retainers, partial payments, installment payments, and payments made in full. By purchasing or booking a service or engagement, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
2. Coaching
Payments made for private coaching, group coaching, mentorship, strategy sessions, or similar engagements are non-refundable. Once time has been reserved, Sean Kozak Media may decline other opportunities or allocate resources in preparation for the engagement. Failure to attend, participate in, or fully utilize a coaching engagement does not create a right to a refund. Any rescheduling or modification of a coaching engagement is subject to availability and must be mutually agreed upon.
3. Consulting and Advisory Engagements
Payments, deposits, retainers, or other fees associated with consulting, advisory, strategy, business, or professional engagements are non-refundable unless otherwise expressly agreed upon in writing. The specific scope, deliverables, timing, payment structure, cancellation provisions, and other terms of significant consulting engagements may also be governed by a separate agreement. Where a separate signed agreement exists, the terms of that agreement will control in the event of a conflict with this general policy.
4. Speaking Engagements and Appearances
Deposits, retainers, and payments associated with speaking engagements, keynote appearances, panels, interviews, private events, corporate events, media appearances, or similar bookings are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Speaking engagements may involve advance preparation, calendar commitments, travel arrangements, content preparation, and the rejection of competing opportunities. Cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, travel, accommodation, and other engagement-specific matters may be addressed in the applicable speaking agreement or booking contract.
5. Live Events
Tickets, registrations, deposits, sponsorships, VIP experiences, private sessions, or other purchases associated with events operated directly by Sean Kozak Media are non-refundable unless otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase or mutually agreed upon in writing. Event-specific terms may apply and will control where expressly provided. If an event is cancelled by Sean Kozak Media and no reasonable alternative, rescheduled date, credit, or replacement arrangement is offered, Sean Kozak Media may provide an appropriate remedy as required by the applicable agreement or applicable law.
6. Third-Party Events, Livestreams and Platforms
Sean Kozak may participate in livestreams, conferences, events, educational programs, media appearances, platforms, communities, or other activities operated by independent third parties. Unless the purchase was made directly from Sean Kozak Media, Sean Kozak Media does not control the third party’s payment, cancellation, return, or refund policies. Any purchase made through a third-party company, event organizer, platform, ticketing provider, business, or service is governed by that third party’s applicable terms and refund policies. Sean Kozak Media is not responsible for issuing refunds for purchases made directly from third parties.
7. Deposits and Retainers
Where a deposit or retainer is required to secure Sean Kozak’s time, availability, participation, or services, that payment is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Payment of a deposit or retainer may reserve specific dates, times, resources, or availability and may result in Sean Kozak Media declining other opportunities.
8. Rescheduling
Sean Kozak Media may, at its discretion, permit an engagement to be rescheduled rather than cancelled. Approval of a rescheduling request does not create a right to a refund and does not require Sean Kozak Media to approve future rescheduling requests. Any rescheduling is subject to availability and mutual written agreement.
9. Client Cancellation or Non-Participation
A client’s decision to cancel, withdraw, fail to attend, fail to participate, change plans, or otherwise not use a purchased service does not entitle the client to a refund. The client’s inability to use or participate in an engagement for personal, professional, scheduling, travel, or other reasons does not alter the non-refundable nature of the payment unless otherwise mutually agreed upon in writing.
10. Mutually Agreed Exceptions
Sean Kozak Media recognizes that unusual circumstances may occasionally arise. Nothing in this policy prevents Sean Kozak Media and a client from mutually agreeing to a refund, credit, rescheduling arrangement, replacement service, or other resolution. Any exception to this policy must be mutually agreed upon in writing. An exception granted in one circumstance does not create an obligation to provide the same exception in another circumstance and does not constitute a waiver of this policy.
11. Separate Agreements
Certain coaching, consulting, advisory, speaking, event, partnership, or other professional engagements may be governed by a separate written agreement. If a separate agreement contains refund, cancellation, termination, rescheduling, payment, or similar provisions that conflict with this policy, the terms of the separate agreement will control for that engagement.
12. Applicable Law
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or waive any rights that cannot legally be limited or waived under applicable consumer-protection or other laws. Where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy notwithstanding this policy, Sean Kozak Media will comply with those legal requirements.
