My Story
Built through experience. Proven through results. Shared to help others.
Some of it came through taking risks, building companies, trading markets, developing technology, leading people, raising capital, losing, rebuilding, and learning how to do things differently the next time.
And some of the most important lessons came through adversity, addiction, recovery, faith, and having to rebuild myself.
But this platform isn't here simply to tell you my story. It's here to make that experience useful to you.
My life and work have ultimately developed around three areas.
Markets | Business | Transformation
They are three very different worlds. You may be here for one of them. You may eventually find value in all three. Either way, my objective is the same: share what I’ve learned, show you what has worked, be honest about what hasn’t, and help you apply those lessons to your own life.
I didn’t choose Markets, Business and Transformation because they sounded good together on a website. They are the three worlds that have shaped my life.
I’ve spent more than a decade trading financial markets while building technology, systems and companies throughout the trading industry.
I’ve gone from starting a company with approximately $10,000 in available credit to building an eight-figure business, raising millions in private capital, developing technology, building teams, and learning how companies actually scale.
And I’ve experienced severe adversity, addiction, recovery, relapse, physical transformation, financial rebuilding and eventually a relationship with Jesus Christ that changed the foundation from which I live my life.
I’ve had success in these areas. I’ve also failed in them. I’ve had to learn. Adapt. Rebuild. And keep going.
That combination is what I have to offer. Not theory alone — experience tested against reality.
Markets
Build an edge. Manage the risk. Execute the process.
I started trading in 2015. What began as an obsession with the financial markets eventually became a career spanning trading, quantitative systems, software development, financial technology, trading education and entrepreneurship.
I’ve been involved in building hundreds of trading applications across major global trading platforms and environments. I’ve worked across trading technology, proprietary trading, market data, execution, risk management, quantitative research and financial infrastructure.
And throughout that journey, I’ve continued to trade. Discretionary. Systematic. Algorithmic. Different markets. Different account sizes. Different strategies. Thousands of ideas tested. Wins. Losses. And more lessons than I could possibly count.
- How to develop and validate an edge
- How to build a repeatable trading process
- How to manage risk
- How to use technology and quantitative testing
- How to identify what's actually broken when your trading isn't working
- How to use data instead of relying entirely on opinion
- How to think in probabilities
- How to improve execution
- How to separate a good trade from a winning trade
- How to build the discipline required to stay in the game long enough for an edge to matter
I share that experience through live trading, market analysis, trading education, strategies, systems, technology, content, coaching infrastructure and the companies I’ve built throughout the trading industry.
You don’t need my business story to learn from me as a trader. You don’t need my transformation story either. If you’re here to become a better trader, start here.
We're always right when we're managing risk.
Business
Build something real. Then build it to last.
I’ve been entrepreneurial for most of my life. But eventually entrepreneurship stopped being an instinct and became a profession.
I started my first technology company with approximately $10,000 in available credit and no staff. I built while working another job. And I learned everything the build demanded.
- Sales
- Product
- Hiring
- Leadership
- Marketing
- Pricing
- Management
- Capital
- Software development
- Margins
- Operations
And all the things nobody completely understands until they’re responsible for making payroll and keeping a company alive.
That journey eventually grew into an eight-figure business. I’ve built technology companies and products. I’ve built sales and marketing organizations. I’ve managed development teams. I’ve hired executives. I’ve raised millions in private capital. I’ve worked through pivots, mistakes, growth constraints and difficult decisions. And I’m still doing it.
- Finding demand before building the product
- Creating sales systems
- Developing technology
- Hiring and retaining strong people
- Creating systems and accountability
- Raising private capital
- Scaling beyond the founder
- Avoiding some of the expensive mistakes I've already paid to learn
- Positioning and pricing
- Building marketing engines
- Managing developers and product teams
- Building leadership teams
- Understanding margins and cash flow
- Working with investors
- Recognizing when your current business model has reached its ceiling
I don’t teach business because I decided to become a business guru. I share business because I’ve built businesses. And where my experience can save another entrepreneur time, money, pain or unnecessary mistakes, I believe that experience has value.
If you don't swing, you don't hit.
Transformation
Your past doesn't have to determine what happens next.
This is the most personal of the three pillars. I’ve experienced serious adversity.
- Trauma
- Recovery
- Weight loss and physical transformation
- Physical dependence
- Addiction
- Relapse
- Injury
- Hospitalization
- Homelessness
- Financial collapse
- Surgeries
And having to rebuild my life more than once. But my transformation story isn’t simply a story about surviving difficult things. It’s about what happened after them.
I went back to school. I rebuilt my health. I lost approximately 100 pounds and eventually became a bodybuilder. I rebuilt financially. I built companies. I created success. I repaired relationships. I returned to recovery. And ultimately I developed a relationship with Jesus Christ that changed how I understand my life, my success and my responsibility to other people.
I’m still growing. I’m still learning. I’m still working on myself. But I’ve gone from places where I couldn’t see a way forward to building a life I once couldn’t have imagined.
How I can help you transform
I’m not a doctor. I’m not a therapist. I’m not an addiction counselor. I’m not a pastor or theologian. And I won’t pretend to be. What I have is lived experience. I can share what helped me:
- Confront the truth
- Take responsibility
- Develop discipline
- Rebuild after failure
- Strengthen my faith
- Set meaningful goals
- Stop trying to build my entire life through self-will alone
- Ask for help
- Overcome destructive patterns
- Rebuild my health
- Work through recovery
- Develop daily practices
- Get back up after falling
That experience has become the foundation for Born Again, the free transformation program I’m building around:
Cleanse → Rebuild → Serve
You don’t need to be an addict. You don’t need to have lost everything. You don’t need my story. You only need an area of your life where you know something has to change.
If you don't swing, you don't hit.
What connects all three?
Face reality.
Take responsibility.
You cannot control everything that happens. You can control what you do next.
Manage risk.
You don’t need certainty to move forward. Understand the downside. Protect your ability to continue. Then make the decision.
Take action.
Information without execution changes very little. At some point you have to take the trade, make the call, build the product, ask for help, change the behavior or take the next step.
Use data, not ego.
When reality tells you something isn’t working, listen. Adapt instead of defending the old way.
Build systems.
Motivation is temporary. Processes, routines, accountability and systems create consistency.
Ask for help.
I’ve learned this in markets. I’ve learned it in business. And I’ve learned it in recovery. The right teacher, partner, employee, advisor, doctor, mentor, recovery community or person can change the trajectory of your life.
Keep getting back up.
A losing trade isn’t your trading career. A failed business decision isn’t your company. A relapse isn’t your entire life. Learn. Correct. Rebuild. Continue.
God first.
This was the lesson that took me the longest to understand. For most of my life, I believed enough discipline, intelligence, ambition and work could solve almost anything. Today, I still believe deeply in responsibility and action. But I no longer believe I was meant to carry everything alone.
So, how can I help you?
You don't need to care about all three pillars.
That’s important.
Go to Markets.
If you’re a trader, you may be here because you want to become better at trading. Watch me trade. Study the systems. Learn the process. Use the resources and education we’ve built.
Go to Business.
If you’re an entrepreneur or business leader, you may not care about trading at all. Learn from the companies I’ve built, the capital I’ve raised, the teams I’ve managed, the mistakes I’ve made and the systems I’ve developed.
Go to Transformation.
If you’re struggling with something in your life — or simply know you’re capable of becoming something more — learn from my experience rebuilding, my recovery, my faith and the Born Again framework I’m building to help other people change their lives.
And if something from one world eventually leads you into another, it’s here when you need it.
I didn’t create three pillars and then go looking for stories to fit underneath them. I lived them.
The markets became my profession. Business became what I built. Transformation became what I survived, achieved, rebuilt and ultimately felt called to share.
Now I'm bringing those experiences together for one reason: to make them useful to other people.
If something I’ve learned helps you become a better trader, I’ll share it. If something I’ve learned building companies helps you become a better entrepreneur, I’ll share it. If something I’ve survived helps you believe your own life can change, I’ll share that too.
I don’t need you to follow every part of my journey. Take what serves you. Use what helps you. Apply it. Build on it. And when your own experience eventually becomes useful to someone else, give some of it away.
Experience becomes valuable when it becomes useful to someone else.
That’s what this platform is about. I’m still trading. Still building. Still learning. Still growing. Still strengthening my relationship with God. And still figuring out what the next chapters look like. But I know what I can do with the chapters I’ve already lived. Share them.
